On 23 April Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan, representatives of the Yerevan Municipality PIU, and UNDP-GCF Project experts visited kindergarten No. 36 where large-scale retrofit works are underway (including seismic reinforcement, energy efficiency, and accessibility).

The retrofit of the kindergartens is implemented by the Yerevan Municipality, co-financed by the Europeaninvestbank (EIB), Eastern Europe Energy Efficiency and Environment Partnership Fund - E5P (E5P), and the Green Climate Fund (GCF).

Seismic surveys, energy audits, development of designs as well as technical and author supervision of retrofit works are implemented in the frames of technical assistance provided by the UNDP-GCF “De-risking and Scaling-up Investment in Energy Efficient Building Retrofits” Project.
